My name is Adam Johnson, and I’m the craftsman behind Rock Wall Bibles.

Along with my beautiful wife, Alex, and our three daughters—Rory, Hallie, and Margaret—we live in Ozark, Missouri, just down the street from my parents’ home on Rock Wall Lane. At the inlet of that lane is a sturdy rock wall. That image serves as the inspiration for our brand of Bibles. It’s become more than just a landmark—it’s a symbol of what we’re trying to build: a beautiful and lasting structure to house one of the most treasured personal possessions many of us own—a Bible.

The road here has been unexpected and, honestly, a little strange. I spent nine years working as a mechanical engineer and then, what started as a side project turned into something much bigger than I could have imagined. One Bible turned into 10, then 100… and eventually I had to face the decision: either scale back Rock Wall Bibles, or go all in.

We moved closer to home a while back to build a life near family and friends. At the same time, some of my work opportunities in this season began to shift. And then, God began directing our steps towards Rock Wall Bibles. I felt genuinely called to pursue this – not just the craft of Bible making, but the deeper mission of promoting right worship in the home. That’s what we, as a family, intend to do.

God has been so gracious to provide for us. And to see so many stories through people’s personal Bibles is a joy. For every Bible we make, we’re humbled by the opportunity and take each one seriously.

At Rock Wall Bibles, our mission is simple: to craft heirloom-quality Bibles that can be used and passed down for generations. We want to encourage people to rethink how they view the things they own—not as disposable, but as worth preserving. When we die, we can’t take anything with us. But we can leave behind things that tell a story, and we can’t think of anything better than God’s word.

Mission

To make heirloom-quality Bibles that reflect the permanence of God's Word--honoring craftsmanship, family, and faith in a disposable world.

Vision

To see lasting Bibles passed down through generations--built by hand, rooted in the Ozarks, and made to glorify God.
